Ulster Senior League champions, Cockhill Celtic suffered a 4-2 defeat at the hands of Drogheda United in the FAI Cup on Friday Night.
The opening goal came from Drogheda’s Declan O’Brien after forty two seconds, but Gerry Gill’s penalty and a goal from Gerard McLaughlin put the visitors ahead in the second half.
Drogheda made their comeback, with goals coming in the 67th and 72nd minutes, with O’Brien getting a hat trick in the fourth minute of extra time.
It was a strong performance from the Inishowen side and Manager Donal O Brien felt that they should have got more out of the game.
