A man’s been airlifted from Glengesh after he was injured while out walking.
Donegal Mountain Rescue Team was called to Glengesh this (Saturday) afternoon to assist a member of a walking group who had sustained a leg injury during a hike.
The Sligo based Rescue 118 Coastguard Helicopter was called in, and the man was flown to Sligo Hospital. DMRT says most of the team were in Donegal Town for their annual fundraising collection, and ended so went straight from there and then returned for another few hours to rattle buckets in Donegal Town.
The team has posted a number of pictures of the rescue on its Facebook page.
