A man has been taken to hospital following a serious assault in Strabane in the early hours of this morning.
Police received a report at approximately 2.10am of a man who had been assaulted in the Railway Street area of the town.
He sustained serious head injuries and is currently being treated in hospital.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of what happened and the PSNI are asking anyone with information and we would appeal to anyone with any information to contact them on 101.
