There were 19,808 people signing on the Live Register in Donegal at the end of last month, 581 more than the May figure, but down 1,670 on June 2013.
That’s a year on year fall of 7.8%.
The biggest percentage decrease was recorded in Killybegs with 1,194 people on the register, a fall of 9.4%. A fall of 9.3% in Dungloe saw 1,996 people signing on at the end of June, while in Dunfanaghy, there were 1,438 registered in the office there, 9.2% on the same period last year.
There were 1,234 people signing on in Donegal Town, down 9.1%, 3,934 in Buncrana, down 8.2% and 1,458 in Ballyshannon, a fall of 7.3%.
There were 2,642 people on the register in Ballybofey, a fall of 6.7%, while in Letterkenny, there were 5,912 people signing on, a fall of 5% on the June 2013 figure.
