Woman who died in Ballyshannon crash named as Charlotte Naylor

Garda accidentA woman who died in a car-crash outside Ballyshannnon, Co. Donegal, has been named as former Post Office worker Charlotte Naylor.
The widow, born on New Year’s Day 72 years ago, died when the car she was driving collided with a ditch.
The tragedy happened on a narrow country road leading to her home at Cloghore off the main Ballyshannon-Belleek road at 10. 20 pm on Thursday night.
Mrs Naylor shared a home with her son George and his wife Valerie who opened a restaurant in Belleek, Co. Fermanagh, last month.
Neighbours remembered the dead woman as quiet person who loved helping her family grow flowers at her home which were sold at local weekend markets.
Mrs Naylor was pronounced dead at the scene and her body was removed to Sligo General Hospital.
The road was closed for several hours today(Fri) during an examination of the accident scene by Garda forensic collision investigators.
Gardai at Ballyshannon investigating the accident have appealed for witnesses to contact 071 985 8530 or the Garda confidential telephone line at 1800 666 111.
