A large crowd turned out last night in the Diamond in Donegal Town to welcome home the victories Donegal teams who for the first time every won the minor and senior titles in the same year.
Declan Bonner’s minors beat Armagh to lift the Fr Murray Cup for the first time in eight years and that was followed by the heroics of Jim Mc Guinness’ side who dethroned Monaghan to take the Ulster title for the third time in four years.
Speaking with Chris Mc Nulty, Donegal Chairman Sean Dunnion was a proud man last night in welcoming both teams back to his home town.
