Former Chair of Strabane Chamber says Three Rivers will close local businesses

3riversA former Chair of the Chamber of Commerce in Strabane has questioned claims that the Three Rivers Project, which got planning permission yesterday, will provide a major boost for the town.
Backers of the 50 million pounds project say it could create up to 1,700 jobs.
The Three Rivers Project includes a 90-bed hotel. a garden centre, an employment park, an entertainment complex and a retail food store.
However, Declan Hughes who runs Gormleys shoe shop in Strabane fears the project will suck business out of the town centre, and only benefit those at the Three Rivers Site itself……….
