Man hospitalised following stabbing at Letterkenny’s Market Square

A man in his 20s is in hospital having been the victim of an assault at Letterkenny’s Market Square.
Gardai were called to the scene at 5.50pm on Tuesday evening.
Eyewitnesses say the 26 year-old man appeared to have been stabbed in the stomach although this has not been confirmed.
He has been removed to Letterkenny General Hospital for treatment for his injuries which are not thought to be life threatening.
The scene has been preserved for a forensic examination.
No arrests have been made and gardai are appealing for witnesses.
