One man dead after fatal road collision near Barnesmore Gap

A man in his 80s has died after the car he was driving was involved in a two car collision near Barnesmore Gap yesterday afternoon.
The accident happened at around 330pm yesterday afternoon on the Donegal Town to Ballybofey Rd, just 3 miles outside Clar.
The man in his 80s, who has not been named, was driving his car alone. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The female driver of the other car involved was also on her own. The 64 year old woman has woman was taken to Letterkenny General Hospital where her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses to contact them in Donegal Town.
