Philip Deignan secured a top ten finish at the Tour of Poland on Sunday with an excellent ride in the closing day time trial.
The Letterkenny rider finished 12th, 42 seconds of the stage winner in the 25k test.
That was enough to lift him from 17th to 7th overall – 1:24 behind the tour winner Rafa Majka.
It was a busy week for Philip who finished in the bunch on the first four flat stages, crashed twice on the same hip and contested both the mountain stages.
The Team Sky man was using the event as preparation ahead of the Vuelta Espana which starts at the end of August.
