Donegal Pet Rescue have said it can’t take in anymore abandoned dogs as they are full to capacity at present.
The animal welfare groups seven foster homes are currently full with a long waiting list of dogs still to come in.
The group currently has 22 abandoned dogs in their care, with another 38 on on a waiting list.
Spokesperson Ryan McCauley says they have had a huge influx of abandoned dogs in recent times.
