Celtic draw Champions League first leg in Slovenia

imageCeltic have a slender advantage after the first leg of their Champions League play-off against Maribor.
The Hoops have come away from Slovenia with a 1-all draw after a scrappy performance.
Callum McGregor fired the visitors into an early lead after just 6 minutes when he stabbed-home from close range after he was first to a rebound.
But Celtic’s lead lasted just 8 minutes when Damjan Bohar raced onto a through pass and calmly finished past Craig Gordon in the Celtic goal.
The Hoops had several chances to add to their away-goal tally, but they also needed Gordon to make several top quality saves to keep the tie well balanced ahead of next week’s return leg at Parkhead.
