Fifteen workers have been laid off as a result of building firm Robinson and Ferry losing a major contract with the Housing Executive in Strabane.
In June the Derry-based company lost its position as the Housing Executive’s key contractor and last month the business was placed into administration.
Sinn Féin MLA Michaela Boyle said she had met with the former Robinson and Ferry workforce to hear their concerns.
Ms Boyle revealed that since the meeting she had contacted the Housing Executive, urging it and the administrators to ensure the former workers are catered for in any new contract.
She says the level of communication between the executive, the administrators and the 15 employees has not been satisfactory…………
