Failte Ireland have launched a new smartphone app for the Wild Atlantic Way.
The app claims to be the definitive guide to the world’s longest defined coastal touring route.
The Wild Atlantic Way stretches 2,500km from Inishowen to Kinsale.
Since launching this April, The Wild Atlantic Way has played a significant role in boosting tourism numbers – up 10% for the first half of the year.
Key features of the app include: Exclusive information on 15 Signature Discovery Points, Additional information on 160 Discovery Points, A list of Hidden Gems, shared by locals, Constantly updated information and information on local events and great places to eat.
The app is designed to work offline, so there’s is no need for a live data connection to use it – a feature that will no doubt come in handy in remote locations in Donegal.
The app is now available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
