Two men have been arrested in relation to a graffiti attack on the home of the DUP mayor of Coleraine.
The words ‘curry my yoghurt’ and ‘oil my AK-47’ were painted on a garden wall at his house on the Drumaquill Road on Sunday evening.
‘Curry my yoghurt’ was in reference to a comment made by the DUP’s Gregory Campbell in the Assembly last month.
The graffiti is being treated by police as a hate crime.
This afternoon, two men, aged 26 and 37, were arrested on suspicion of criminal damage.
They are currently in custody helping police with their enquiries.
A number of properties are being searched and a number of items have been taken away for further examination.
