Irelands largest on shore windfarm could be constructed in Co Donegal.
The 500 foot turbines will run along a 15km stretch from Barnesmore Gap to the Finn Vally area.
If the plans for the windfarm development go ahead then it will be one of the biggest of its kind in Ireland.
The 500 foot turbines will run along a 15 kilometre stretch between Barnesmore Gap to just passed the twin towns.
If the wind farm goes ahead the developers claim it would pump 55 million euro into the local economy.
It is also claimed that 200 jobs will be created during the 18 month construction period.
The proposed development will run along ten townlands from Carrickduff Hill near Barnesmore, down along the border to Belault, near Castlefin.
The development will consist of 51 wind turbines, some of which will be over 500 feet in height.
The developers claim that when operating at full capacity, the windfarm will generate enough electricity for 66,000 homes.
An information day regarding the planned development will take place in Jacksons Hotel on Wednesday night at 8pm.
