Donegal County Councillor Ciaran Brogan has met with senior Gardai to express concerns about continuing crime across the county.
This week along in Letterkenny alone there has been a break-in and an armed robbery.
In the early hours of Monday morning the Checkout store on the Lower Oldtown Road was burgled. While the owner of the Hot Plate Take away beside the Swilly Inn in Gortlee had a knife held to her throat during an armed robbery on Monday night.
He says the growth in business watch and community alert schemes has paid dividends in the past, and both he and the gardai want to see that strengthened……….
