A Donegal TD is warning that a serious waiting list crisis is looming at Letterkenny General Hospital.
This week, it emerged that more than 1,400 people have been waiting over two years for out-patient appointments, many of them former users of the National Treatment Purchase Fund.
This is an issue that Deputy Charlie Mc Conalogue has been highlighting for some weeks, and he says the situation is set to worsen following confirmation that over 60 surgical procedures were cancelled at the hospital in January as a result of the overcrowding crisis.
Deputy Mc Conalogue says February’s figure is set to be even higher, and this suggests major problems ahead for Letterkenny General……….
