Letterkenny Institute of Technology is one step closer to gaining University status.
LYIT along with Galway-Mayo IT and Sligo IT yesterday submitted a formal Expression of Interest to the Higher Education Authority (HEA) for re-designation as a Technological University.
The three partners believe that the proposed Technological University will better serve the needs of the region.
