Children hospitalised following bus crash in Co Donegal

A number of children have been taken to hospital following a bus crash in Co Donegal.
The bus was carrying the Carrickfergus Rugby Club’s Under-14 team and their coaches.
It is understood the bus overturned on the Laghey to Pettigo Road just before 3pm this afternoon.
The team had travelled to Donegal town to play a league match earlier this morning.
There was no other vehicle involved.
The information the club has received is that 11 of those on the bus have been taken to Altnagelvin and Enniskillen Hospitals.
No serious injuries have been reported.
Efforts are now being made to get the rest of the team back to Carrickfergus and all of the parents involved are being contacted.
The Laghey to Pettigo Road remains closed for a technical examination and diversions are in place.
