A kangaroo or wallaby is reportedly on the loose in Co Tyrone.
PSNI officers posted to the Dungannon and South Tyrone Facebook page: “Last night we received a report of a ‘small kangaroo’ on the road between Moy and Dungannon.
“We weren’t able to locate anything that resembled a kangaroo so just wondered if anyone else saw it, or knows of any living in the area?”
But if the report sounds like a wind up, it wouldn’t be the first time a marsupial has been on-the-run in the North.
A wallaby and baby joey escaped their home in Clough, Co Down, in March last year. Sadly they were later found dead.
A number of farms in Dungannon and Craigavon have wallabies, which are smaller than kangaroos, as a visitor attraction.
