A threat to the future of the Bytes Project, which provides training and work experience for young people who are not in training or employment has been averted after core funding was restored.
It emerged in April that a question mark lay over the future of the project, which has a number of bases across Northern Ireland, including on on Strand Road in Derry which is involved in a number of cross border projects.
Derry and Strabane Councillor Derek Hussey is one of those campaigned for the reinstatement of the funding.
He says the withdrawal of funding was a short sighted move which made very little sense……..
