Deignan impresses in big French race

Donegal’s Philip Deignan finished in 33rd position with a cluster of other riders, including Nicolas Roche, in today’s seventh stage of the Criterium du Dauphine, in France.
Letterkenny man Deignan, riding for Team Sky, has certainly played his part for Team Sky during the week assisting lead rider Chris Froome.
Froome won today’s tough seventh stage into St. Gervais Mont Blanc.
Deignan is still hoping that he can compete in this year’s Tour de France.
Tejay Van Garderen of the United States was the overall leader earlier today.
