Dunfanaghy man dies in accident on Cornwall construction site

A Co Donegal man has died in an accident on a Cornwall construction site.
The man has been named locally as 45-year-old John Sweeney, from Dunfanaghy.
It’s understood the man died when a machine fell on top of him.
A spokesperson for the construction workers’ union UCATT said accidents should not be happening on construction sites.
The spokesperson also said that they needed to review the procedures and risk assessments to ensure that similar accidents are not repeated.
Land Securities also said they were deeply saddened by the death
Mr Sweeney had been working in England for a number of years.
