Discussions will get underway tonight in Derrybeg ahead of a meeting later this month to discuss the future of the overnight NoWDOC service in the area.
Tonight’s meeting at Teach Jack, Gaoth Dobhair will see local doctors, the Chamber of Commerce and other discuss the agenda for the bigger meeting which will involve the HSE, CareDoc, TD’s and other public representatives.
A proposal to end the overnight ‘Redeye’ service in Derrybeg and Carndonagh is currently bveing live tested in both locations. Hugh Mc Bride, who chairs the Gweedore Chamber, is confident that the live test which ends on Sunday will prove that it hasn’t worked………….
