It’s an important night for both Derry City and Finn Harps as they face very different challenges in the SSE Airtricity League
Finn Harps are still very much in the hunt for automatic promotion from Division One – but they’ve experienced a bit of a slump in form and after last weekend’s defeat at Wexford Youths, they’ve dropped off the top of the table.
Suddenly UCD and Shelbourne are closing in behind them – which makes tonight’s visit of Shels to Finn Park another key game.
Harps will be without the suspended Josh Mailey – but Damien McNulty returns after serving a one game ban last weekend.
Kick off in that one is at 8pm. The leaders Wexford host Cabinteely.
Diarmaid Doherty will have LIVE updates from Finn Harps v Shelbourne on Highland this evening.
Derry City meet Premier Division leaders Dundalk at the Brandywell
City captain, Ryan McBride should be okay for this one, despite sitting out training this week because of injury.
Derry’s have pulled away from the bottom two in the table in recent weeks after back to back wins over Longford and Galway
Mark Timlin has been Derry’s star man in recent games scoring six in his last three.
Stephen Kenny’s side start the night with a four-point lead over Cork City, who host Limerick tonight at Turners Cross.
Martin Holmes will have LIVE updates on Highland from the Brandywell this evening from the 7.45pm kick off.
Also tonight Bohs host Galway United at Dalymount ; Sligo Rovers visit Drogheda United; St. Pat’s take-on Bray and Longford are up against Shamrock Rovers.
