A Donegal Councillor says more community hospital beds need to be opened in Donegal, with a need for a new facility in Letterkenny.
Cllr Ian Mc Garvey says he raised this during a conversation with Health Minister Leo Varadkar in Donegal last week.
He also pressed the minister on the pressures being felt by many elderly people as a result of the medical card review.
He says the situation is a serious one which must be addressed…………..
