Ciaran Coll’s first goal in three years for Finn Harps gives the Ballybofey side a 1-0 advantage going into the second leg of the promotion play off against UCD.
Coll’s goal after only 26 seconds proved enough to decide an evenly fought contest, though, Harps had Ciaran Gallagher to thank for keeping the home side at bay when he made a brilliant stop to deny Jack Watson on 88 minutes.
The St Johnston man was taken off in the second half suffering from flu and tonsillitis but he says he will be ok for the return leg.
