No politician can promise an end to flooding – Harris

Storm Frank may be over but many towns across the country are still under water.
A yellow wind warning is in place today with winds of up to 120 km per hour hampering clean up efforts. The warning, which includes Donegal, will be in place until 2 o’clock this afternoon.
While over a thousand homes and businesses are still without power. No problems are being reported in Donegal at present.
Meanwhile, the Minister of State at the Office of Public Works says no politician can promise that flooding won’t happen again.
Simon Harris said a national capital flood plan is in place but it will take several years to implement……
