The possibility of a proposed footbridge at Bunbeg is back on the table with Minister Joe McHugh saying his department will make official contact with Donegal County Council in the coming days to discuss the issue.
It’s been claimed the bridge there poses a safety risk to both motorists and pedestrians and there have been numerous calls in the past for a footbridge to be constructed alongside it.
The footbridge would cost between €120,000 and €150,000.
Cllr Micheal Cholm Mac Giolla Easbuig says he’s hopeful the funding can be found, but stressed there are no guarantees…….
