Recent statistics show there were over 130 controlled drug offences recorded in Garda Station in east Donegal over the last 6 years.
Figures obtained by Sinn Fein have revealed that since 2010 there has been a total of 131 controlled drug offences recorded by Gardaí at just five of the main stations throughout the region.
Sinn Fein Election Candidate Gary Doherty has been highlighting the issue, he says it’s another indication that there is a need for greater resources to be given to Gardai to help tackle drug crime in Donegal:
