NFL Div 2 Final result: Tyrone 1-17 (20) v 0-15 (15) Cavan
Tyrone were crowned Division Two champions on Sunday when they beat Cavan in Croke Park.
Sean Cavanagh was amongst the early scores as the teams traded points throughout the opening exchanges.
But it was another Cavanagh point after a good run by Peter Harte allowed Tyrone to open a three-point gap.
At half-time, the score was Tyrone 0-11 v 0-08 Cavan.
Tyrone’s Ronan O’Neill extended the Red Hands’ lead to six points after the restart with a goal on 48 minutes.
The scores were Tyrone 1-13 v 0-10 Cavan.
As Tyrone closed out the match for a five-point win, Tiernan McCann was named man of the match.
