The official opening of the 1916 Commemoration Garden in Ballymacool Town Park in Letterkenny is taking place this evening.
The garden will comprise of a stoned area, a flagpole with tricolour, replica of the proclamation and as well as the seven trees to represent each of the executed signatories.
The event will include music, poetry and a recital of the proclamation while the Defence Forces are also expected to attend.
Mayor Cllr Gerry McMonagle say it’s an all inclusive event and is inviting members of the community to attend…….
