Letterkenny University Hospital is set to have one of the best equipped diagnostic facilities for a hospital of its size.
It follows confirmation that the new Radiology Suite at the hospital is to go to tender, with temporary facilities being established to allow for the demolition of part of the current site.
General Manager Sean Murphy says extra equipment will be located in the new suite, and a new CT scanner is being brought in for use in the temporary facilities.
When the work is done, he says, the improvements to the hospital’s disgnostic capacity will be substantial…………
