McDaid: Donegal Hospice overspend will not effect services

The Chair of the Donegal Hospice Committee says there is no question of the services at the hospice being compromised as a result of a quarter of a million euro overspend last year.
Dr James Mc Daid says a rise in costs and a fall in money raised by the hospice has seen a gap of just over €250,000 between expenditure and income.
In the wake of the console scandal, questions have been asked of all charities, with one comment on social media this week suggesting the Donegal Hospice committee cut down on their “free dinners”.
