PSNI appeal for witness following assault in Derry

Police in Derry are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed an assault in the city on Monday last.
A 37 year-old male was seriously assaulted just after 11am in William Street.
He was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries which are not thought to be life threatening but are described as serious.
Police are asking for anyone who may have witnessed the assault to contact Police at Strand Road PSNI on the non emergency number 101.
