Derry City has picked up a number of awards in the Ulster in Bloom Competition, including first in the City Category. Foyle Street Bus Station and the Garden of Reflection also took prizes.
The judges praised Derry’s well maintained open spaces and beautiful plant and floral presentations throughout the city.
Mayor Hilary McClintock praised council staff, saying their work is important in presenting the city and district as a welcoming place to visitors and they help communities develop a sense of civic pride.
