A Donegal County Councillor is questioning whether or not the antenatal services in Dungloe will be re-instated in the New Year.
Yesterday, Deputy Pearse Doherty announced that he’s been told in response to a Dail question that it’s envisaged clinics will be restored in January.
A meeting involving the HSE, Saolta and management in Dungloe hospital has been arranged for next week to discuss the how to deliver the service.
However Councillor Micheal Cholm Mac Giolla Easbuig says similar commitments have been made in the past, and he is not fully convinced…………
Deputy Pearse Doherty acknowledges that previous commitments came to nothing, but says he’s satisfied this latest development is a significant and positive one…………
