Brett McGinty set for Elite Boxing Final


Brett McGinty is through to the Elite Boxing Championship Final after a unanimous win over Peter Carr from Crumlin.
The Oakleaf ABC fighter (18), fighting at 69kg, defeated Carr by a score of 5-0, in Dublin, yesterday.
He goes into the final to face Dean Walsh, next Friday, in the National Stadium.
Walsh, a Wexford native, who surpassed Dungloe’s Mark McCole in the quarter-final, defeated Tiernan Bradley of Omagh in the semi-final- also by unanimous decision.
Also fighting in the final next week is Illies Golden Glove fighter, Daryll Moran- who will take on Blaine Dobbins of St Joseph’s Derry at 49kg.
