A number schools in Donegal have been included the the latest DEIS programme but there is criticism of the department of Education as some schools have been left out.
The DEIS programme sets out new targets to improve literacy and numeracy, improve school completion rates, and to improve progression to further and higher education.
One post-primary 20 primary schools in Donegal have been brought into the scheme, and two have moved bands, but Deputy Pat the Cope Gallagher has expresed his dismay that Ranafast and Gortahork national schools have not been excluded.
He says they clearly fit the critera and their exclusion is simply unfair………..
