Peter Cromie wins Shore 2 Summit Adventure Race

 
Inishowen’s Sliabh Sneacht and the surrounding hills of Drumfries where a buzz on Saturday as the welcome spring sun and fantastic summit scenery dazzled the 150 adventurers in the Shore 2 Summit Adventure Race
The competitors gave their all from the starting horn to Run, Bike, Kayak and Trek around a really challenging course to make their way back to the finish line at Sliabh Sneacht centre.
They soaked up the sun, scenery and sores as everyone soon realised that regardless of the race distance there was a challenge there for every fitness level.
Limavady man Peter Cromie won the 62k Extreme Race, Darren Wallace won the 41k sprint and Richard Duncan took the 22k honours.
The new Club Category helped boost overall entries, which were up over 50% and added to the great atmosphere of the event.
Inish Fitness won the club race.
The jubilation of finishers, banter & craic around the centre as finishers replenished on the post-race buffet and a full house at the North Pole Bar for the Presentation afterwards.
Extreme North were delighted with the growing numbers to this event and the large geographical catchment from all over Ulster and further south from Galway and Wexford.
