Crime Prevention Officer, Sergeant Paul Wallace has warned people to be extra vigilant following a number of unprecedented scams in the locality this week.
Speaking today on the Shaun Doherty Show Sergeant Wallace spoke of two known cases of fraudulent activity in the area.
One man was contacted by a family claiming to be from Nigeria seeking his help while another lady lost a considerable amount of money in an attempt to purchase a holiday.
