Rory McIlroy and Caddie J-P Fitzgerald split

Rory McIlroy has reportedly split from his long-serving caddie J-P Fitzgerald after nine years.
The Reuters news agency claim that McIlroy will have a new caddie on his bag for the W-G-C Bridgestone Invitational this week.
Fitzgerald carried McIlroy’s clubs for his four major victories.
He was also praised by the world number four for a mid-round pep talk after a poor start at the Open earlier this month.
