As the entertainment world reels from the sudden death of Hugh Hefner, attention has shifted to his widow, Crystal.
The former playmate – who, at (31), is 60 years his junior – wed the Playboy founder in December 2012.
But because of an ironclad prenuptial agreement and the fact that Hugh never added her to his will, the blonde bombshell will inherit nothing from his multi-million dollar fortune.
Hugh, who was affectionately referred to as Hef, reportedly died of natural causes on Wednesday night.
According to CNBC, the controversial businessman died in his home in Holmby Hills, Los Angeles, surrounded by loved ones.
His fortune, which was estimated at $43 million (then R385 million) back in 2013, will be divided amongst his four children, Christie (64), David (62), Marston (27) and Cooper (26) and the list of charities he supported.
Although this will leave his widow empty-handed, the former playmate will be well-looked afters.
Crystal left Hef (91) at the altar back in 2011, when he first wanted to marry her, reportedly because she got cold feet.
Daily Mail writes that the wedding was called off five days before the big day, which was set to be attended by 300 guests.
But Hef wasn’t put off by her sudden backtrack and on 31 December 2012 the couple tied the knot.
“The dramatic age difference between Crystal and me really doesn’t matter,” he tweeted back then of wedding his third wife. “Whatever time I have left, we want to spend together.”
Crystal also appeared over the moon to marry her then-86-year-old man.
“This time around is amazing… I’m very happy and Hef’s very happy and we’re excited,” she said.
