38 properties in Gaoth Dobhair have signed up to be part of the initial pilot phase of the long awaited sewerage scheme there.
It follows a recent meeting between Irish Water and local residents in which the utility agreed to waive the previously proposed connection fee for all those participating in the pilot project.
It also appears likely that the company intends to extend the coverage area for the scheme once fully operational in order to include an additional number of properties.
