Binman suffered serious facial injuries after being attacked by dog while on duty

A member of Derry City and Strabane District Council’s Refuse Collection Services suffered serious facial injuries after he was attacked by a dog while on duty.
The incident occurred on Wednesday in the Bogside area of the City, the man was taken to hospital where he was treated for his injuries and has since been discharged.
A spokesperson for the council has confirmed the incident is currently being investigated by the relevant agencies.
