The Killybegs Fishermen’s Organisation has welcomed the agreement of a Brexit transition period announced this week.
Aspects of the agreement ensure access to UK waters for Irish fishermen and shared quotas will be maintained until 2020, allowing time to negotiate a post-Brexit fisheries relationship.
Seán Ó’Donoghue, KFO Chief Executive says it is vital to maintain existing access to waters and resources.
