FF brings forward debate on Fodder Crisis to Dáil and Seanad


Motions are to come before the Dail and Seanad this week calling on the government to take immediate action to ensure farmers receive adequate support amid the ongoing fodder crisis.
Fianna Fail’s Agriculture Spokesperson and Donegal Deputy Charlie McConalogue says as a result of Minister Michael Creed’s failure to acknowledge the emerging issues and engage with farmers, the situation has now become a national emergency, putting a huge strain on farmers’ mental health and creating animal welfare issues.
He says while vital action must be taken now to tackle the crisis, it is important to protect against the recourring of the situation:
