Derry City 2-2 Finn Harps U19s
The Finn Harps U19s were hugely disappointed on Saturday to concede an injury time Sean McBride goal which denied them a Northwest derby victory over Derry City at the Brandywell but Joe Boyle’s side can also point to an impressive start to the league as they remain unbeaten after the first seven games.
Following a scoreless first half Inishowen man Stephen Doherty had put Harps in front four minutes after the break but McBride levelled matters on 61 minutes. Strabane native Jamie Browne has been in rich goal scoring form and his header put Harps ahead on 80 minutes before McBride’s late intervention meant both sides had to be satisfied with a share of the spoils.
Joe Boyle’s lads will now look forward to a home fixture against Dundalk next weekend as they look to accumulate further points to qualify for the end of season play-off positions.
