Council urged to investigate flooding issue in Ramelton

Donegal County Council is being urged to investigate a flooding issue in Ramelton.
It’s understood that during periods of heaving rain, water is coming through the tarmac in the Bridgend area either due to an underground spring or a blocked drain, water is coming through the tarmac and running down to the main road.
The issue is said to have led to the road being severely damaged.
Cllr. Adrian Glackin says not only that but in periods of cold weather the overflow is turning to black ice which is providing a potential hazard for pedestrians and motorists.
He says the Council must take urgent action:
